Well, it has been a crazy couple of months. Last night I finally finished school for the semester. Now I get to play the waiting game and see how well I did this semester. I am pretty confident though. Jewl went with me and took the college placement test so that she could register for classes in the spring. She wants to major in photography. She was pretty nervous about the test, but ended up doing awesome. So now that school is over it is time to relax.
It is also time to get in the spirit of Chrsitmas. Jewl and I both love this time of year, but have been too busy to enjoy it. So now we are going to do all we can to get in the spirit. We are going with Jamie and Justin tonight to see the forgotten carols, but first we need to stop and get some pizza benders of course. Jewl really wants to go see the lights at Temple Square really bad too, so we will be making a trip down there sometime soon. If anyone wants to join us let us know.
We also love going to movies this time of year. We took her two cousins and Jakson to go see Bolt on Saturday. Then after dropping the kids off and grabbing a quick bite to eat we went and saw Four Christmases. HILARIOUS!!! Anyway, there are a bunch more we are going to see real soon. So stay posted and we will give you our movie reviews.
We hope everyone enjoys their Christmases and stays outta trouble.

Go Cougars!!!
Over the last week not much has changed around our household. Jewl is still working with the horses everyday and Shea is still going to school. We did both finally get a chance to spend some time together on Saturday. We went to the BYU Football game and watched the Cougars beat up Northen Iowa. Then on Monday Shea had two carpet jobs, so we spent our Labor Day working, at least we were both together.
This weekend will be filled with more football, preparing our primary lesson, and Shea gets to speak at our stake baptism. Yeah, I know we aren't very exciting, but that's just how it is. Take care y'all.

Oops! I fell off again!
So earlier this week I went horse back riding with Brenton and his girlfriend. I thought it would be a good idea to ride Skittles even though she hadn't been ridden in a few days. It wasn't such a good idea though. She is still learning to keep her balance as she trots and I am still trying to master keeping my balance as well. Unfortunately, for both of us, neither one of us had quite mastered it yet. She was sloppily trotting down the hill, and before I knew it, her awkward movements caused me to lose my balance and fall right over the top of her. Luckily, I was able to curl up into a ball and roll down the hill a little ways. It knocked the wind out of me and I suffered a few bumps and bruises, but other than that I am alright. I think I was actually more scared that Shea was going to get mad at me. He wasn't mad at all though. He is such a good husband. He just laughed and told me not to worry cuz it's not going to be the last time I fall off a horse. That is the second time I have fallen off a horse this summer. When we first started training Granola Bar I fell off of her too. Oh well, I will have to blog about that one later. Cowgurl up!
Our babies!
Okay, here are the pictues we promised. We currently have six horses. Our oldest horse is named Skittles. She is a two year old buckskin mare. Jewl has been working really hard to break this horse and make her a good ride. Unfortunately, that has come with a couple of bumps and bruises. Our next oldest baby is Granola Bar. She shares her birthday with Brenton, and just turned two on August 12th. She is a silver grulla mare, and we both have been working really hard to get her broke aswell. Then we have Twix. He is Jewl's pride and joy. He is a bay roan gelding that just turned one this year. We have saddled him and done a lot of ground work, but we still have to wait another year to jump up on him. We will probably get Jakson out here this fall to take him for a ride. Our fourth baby is our stud prospect. His name is Rocky Road. He is a buckskin dun stud colt. He is the same age as Twix, but doesn't quite learn as quickly as Twix does. He is absolutely gorgeous though. Our fifth baby arrived on our farm just five days ago. She is a bay filly and is the full sister of Twix. Her name is Twizzler. Get it, Twix and Twizz, oh we are so funny. She is going to have a bright future, especially if she is anything like her older brother. She is gorgeous, except for a little wart on the tip of her upper lip. (We'll have the vet fix that.) Our last horse was recently given to us. Her name is Montana. She is a six or seven or eight or nine year old mare. We got her to help us train our other horses out on the trail. Anyway, that is our family. So we will keep you up to date on how they all progress.
